I have been interested in handwork since I was very young. Never one to sit idle, I was, and still am, always experimenting with something new.
My quilts are a mixture of traditional scrap piecing with a contemporary twist. I love the old log cabin pattern of sewing strips, but I like to use small strips that are not cut the same size. I love to sew with very small scraps too. I make dolls and greeting cards out of the scraps.
Visit Pat’s Website at www.patstatzer.net
This “scrap” quilt is pieced in the strippy style. It is 89” by 96” and would fit a queen bed.
The quilt was sewn by Betty Pavy of Rising Sun, IN and machine quilted by Helen Hounshell of Patriot, IN.
All proceeds from the raffle of the quilt go to support Rising Sun QuiltFest.
The quilt will be raffled on April 1, 2012. You do not need to be present to win.
Tickets are $1 each. For more information please email quiltfest@orvcomm.com.
