Rising Sun QuiltFest Sews Up New Venue
Rising Sun QuiltFest will move to the Ballroom at Grand Victoria Casino for the 2010 show and Competition. The Casino is located at 600 Grand Victoria Drive just off Highway 56.
“We’ve outgrown our space and the larger venue will allow us to triple our vendor booths, accommodate more quilt entries and add classes”, said Charlie Charles, show committee chairman.
Dates and hours for the 2010 show are Friday, April 9, 10 am – 5 pm, Saturday, April 10, 10 am – 6 pm, and Sunday, April 11, 11 am – 4 pm.
New for 2010 will be a Doll, Bear and Doll Quilt Competition. The added space will also allow the art quilts and art entries to be displayed with the traditional quilts, all at one location. Food and drinks will again be available at the show.
Quilt appraisals will be available during show hours. AQS certified appraiser Cindy Claycamp of Seymour, Indiana will be available by appointment to appraise your antique or new quilts. Appraisal reviews are suitable for insurance purposes.
