2012 Contest Entry Form
Entries to Rising Sun QuiltFest 2012 will be accepted in the following categories:
Pieced Applique Art Quilt Novelty Youth Artwork
Traditional or Artist’s Doll Bear/Animal Non-Judged/Display Only

Fee is $10.00 per judged entry. There is no fee for non-judged categories or youth, but entries are limited to space available.
Open to all. Those under 18 must enter Youth Category
Entries must be available from Monday, March 26, 2012 through Sunday, April 1, 2012.
Prizes may include cash, merchandise, gift certificates and award certificates.
•All works must have been completed since 2008 and not exhibited previously at QuiltFest.
•Group entries are accepted but the entrant must have worked on the item; it is appropriate to credit the work of others, pattern sources or teachers if entry is a class project.
•Size: Quilt frames are 96” x 96”. If your quilt is longer, either attach a second sleeve at that height or we will fold over or under at top or bottom section. If it is wider we will try to accommodate the size with a longer hanging bar.
•Sleeve: All quilt entries 45” and over must have a 3 inch hanging sleeve securely affixed to the top back for hanging or we will not be able to display your quilt and it will be returned to you. If you need directions, please email quiltfest@orvcomm.com and ask for our “Quilt Hanging Sleeve” instruction sheet.
•Identification: All entries must have your name, address, and complete contact information affixed securely to the back.
•Acceptance: Consider your entry accepted unless you hear otherwise.
•Insurance: You must provide your own insurance coverage. Whereas due care will be taken to protect your items, QuiltFest cannot accept responsibility for any damage.
•Youth Category is open to anyone under the age of 18. No cash prize will be offered in this category.
• Novelty Category: This category is where you should enter unquilted quilts such as yo yo, crazy quilts, tied and wearables items such as bags or jackets.
• Awards: A cash prize will be awarded for Best in Show, Mayor’s Choice and First Place in all categories except Youth and non-judged entries. Additional cash awards, merchandise or certificates may be awarded at the QuiltFest committee’s discretion.
